This is an original production background from the Walt Disney Studios production Sleeping Beauty (1959). This hand-painted background features a hallway interior of Maleficent's castle. It was created at the studio and used during production. Eyvind Earle's visual concepts inspired the look of this entire film, and specifically the style of the backgrounds. The overall measurements of the piece are 12.5" x 30" and the image itself measures 11.5" x 30". The production background is in excellent condition.
